Meet Jardine

BSc(Hons), DipLang, MClinPsych, MAPS

I am a Clinical Psychologist, with a friendly, warm and collaborative approach. I believe building a secure and trusting relationship is essential to help clients feel safe to explore their emotions, develop a deeper understanding of their difficulties, and build confidence in managing life’s challenges.

I have a special interest and several years experience in providing support for:

  • Adjusting to and managing cancer can be emotionally exhausting, for both the person and loved ones.

Support may include adjusting to a diagnosis, fear about cancer returning or progressing, grief and loss, body image concerns, fatigue, insomnia and pain management. I also provide support for carers, including anticipatory grief, burnout, and stress management.

In addition to private practice, I work at Ovarian Cancer Australia, helping people to navigate the emotional impacts of a cancer diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and end-of life. I have also previously worked at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre.

  • Body image, body dysmorphia, disordered eating, and eating disorders can have a significant impact on daily life and self-worth, fuelled by social media and societal norms.

I am passionate about supporting adolescents, adults, and athletes to improve their relationship with their body and food. This typically includes working on eating behaviours (e.g., restriction, bingeing), thought patterns, as well as underlying factors like self-worth and perfectionism.

I work with body dissatisfaction including body dysmorphia, as well as Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder, and Other Specified Feeding and Eating Disorders (OSFED).

I value collaborating with medical professionals, dieticians, and family for holistic care.

  • I enjoy helping adolescents and young adults navigate the unique challenges that come with these developmental stages.

This may include support around exploring identity and sense of self, navigating peer groups and relationships, building a compassionate relationship with their bodies, and improving self-confidence.

I also provide support for a broader range of mental health difficulties in adolescents (15+) and adults, including anxiety disorders (social, panic, OCD, phobias), depression, grief and loss, insomnia, low confidence and self-esteem, and adjustment to major life changes.
